Key areas of action

The Internationalization Office aligns its activities with the following key areas of action:

Student Mobility

Semester stays (outgoing mobility)
Management of calls and student applications for semester-long mobility stays.

Exchange students (incoming mobility)
Receiving and managing applications from students coming from other institutions of higher education. Hosting, enrolling, and monitoring students during their mobility stay at our School.

Research Stays

Dissemination and management of research stays, in addition to accompanying students participating in these internships, either initiating this type of activity or already in stays related to ongoing projects.

In addition, interaction with research groups is contemplated to promote available calls for proposals and programs. Besides, we intend to link students from other institutions with teachers and academic staff in research activities, which aims to mentor research projects developed during the internships.

Internationalization of the curriculum

Various actions are projected to integrate the international dimension into the academic activities of the School, enabling students and faculty to have an international experience even without the need to travel abroad.
Actions to implement:

  • Implementation of COIL courses (Collaborative Online International Learning) within our curricular courses.
  • Teaching of certain curricular courses in English.
  • Integration of mobility subjects into all study programs, aiming to recognize courses to be validated in the academic record or internationalization activities at home.
  • Promotion of double degrees, looking for opportunities with partner institutions where there is affinity and commitment to define specific plans of studies under this modality.
Fostering Internationalization

Actions aimed at expanding mobility and internationalization options and promoting awareness of existing ones. These include:

  • Management of specific collaboration agreements between the School and other institutions.
  • Establishing cooperation networks with other academic entities within UNAM to promote and leverage collaboration agreements with other universities.
  • Following up with alumni who were mobility scholarship recipients to foster support networks for research stays, COIL courses, exploration of agreements, etc.
  • Promotion and organization of events and conferences.
  • Hosting visits from foreign universities representatives to UNAM and to our School.
Follow-up on academic exchange

Various academic exchange activities involving our faculty are conducted at our School under various support programs from our University for inter-institutional cooperation activities. These activities are planned to be leveraged and enhanced through the following actions:

  • Dissemination of support programs for inter-institutional cooperation activities.
  • Follow-up on academic stays.
  • Promotion of cooperation ties and agreements through faculty stays.
  • Promotion of academic and student exchange platforms.
Cross-Cutting actions

These will be all activities involving interaction with other areas of the School and UNAM to promote internationalization within various aspects of university life, such as comprehensive education, second language promotion, research projects, teaching research, plans of studies, mentoring, postgraduate studies abroad, outreach activities, etc.
